STALKING

Stalking for Red Deer is available in season for both stags and hinds, and also the occasional Roe Deer.

This open hill Estate, with five separate deer stalking beats, is one of the most northerly which enjoys spectacular views from every direction. A professional Deer Stalker accompanies guests to the hill where about forty stags and sixty hinds are culled each year.

Wherever possible, the stags are retrieved from the hill in the traditional manner with ponies, otherwise an Argocat is used to retrieve the stags.

For hind stalking it is advisable if clients come for two or three days, preferably in November or December, however single days can also be catered for.

Other wildlife abounds which makes for an interesting day amid magnificent scenery.

Prices:

Stags £300 each plus VAT.

Hinds £120 plus VAT per day.
